The Australian Heritage Hotel

The Australian Heritage Hotel

Food

Overview

Anchoring The Rocks since 1824, The Australian Heritage Hotel is pure Sydney institution—the kind of pub that has watched the city evolve while staying defiantly itself.

The menu champions native Australian ingredients with theatrical confidence: kangaroo, emu, crocodile and witchetty grub pizzas that stop tourists mid-meal, paired with over 100 Australian beers and a cocktail program that keeps things interesting without trying too hard. The heritage sandstone walls and original timber bars carry genuine history; no designer could replicate this.

Dogs are welcome throughout the outdoor areas, where the cobblestone laneways of The Rocks create a backdrop that transforms a casual schooner into something approximating occasion. This is where Sydney's heritage and present collide, and everyone's invited.
