Lysaght Park

Overview
Located in Sydney’s Inner West within the Canada Bay region, Lysaght Park in Chiswick hosts a designated off‑leash dog area that blends waterfront views with emerging infrastructure to support safe play areas for dogs and owners. Council completed a major upgrade including new fencing, gates, a bin enclosure and a concrete path to boost safety and access.
The off‑leash zone includes a large grass field beside the Parramatta River, offering scenic views and space for exercise. The new fencing and gates enhance safety, while pathways and rubbish disposal options help maintain cleanliness and ease of movement.
With its secure enclosure, Lysaght Park is well suited to puppies, less confident or shy dogs, and those still practising recall. The barrier offers peace of mind alongside scenic surroundings.
Lysaght Park is located opposite Campbell Park in Abbotsford, easily accessible via Byrne Avenue. Street parking is available, and the waterfront setting pairs well with local strolls before or after playtime.
This park is best suited to dogs of all sizes that benefit from a secure, well‑equipped off‑leash area, and for owners who appreciate both safety and views.
Lysaght Park Off‑Leash Area is managed by City of Canada Bay Council.
