Overview
Located in Sydney’s Northern Suburbs, Meadowbank Dog Beach in Meadowbank is an unfenced off-leash area on the Parramatta River foreshore. The sandy inlet is part of the Meadowbank Park precinct and is one of the few designated dog beaches in the City of Ryde.
The beach is known for its shallow water access and sandy shoreline, giving dogs the opportunity to swim and play in the river. Council provides signage and bins for waste disposal, but facilities are otherwise minimal.
Dogs may be exercised off leash at all times on Meadowbank Dog Beach.
The beach is located alongside the Meadowbank Park sporting complex and sits near both the fenced Malik Dog Park and the open off-leash area on Field 13, offering owners secure, open-field and water play options in one destination.
This spot is best suited to water-confident dogs that enjoy swimming and owners looking for a riverside alternative to standard parks.
Meadowbank Dog Beach is managed by the City of Ryde.
