ADM
Overview
Formally known as Archer-Daniels-Midland Company, ADM was incorporated on 30 September 1902 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as a regional linseed oil business. In 1924, ADM was listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol ADM, and today operates as an American multinational food processing and commodities trading corporation headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, operating more than 270 plants and 420 crop procurement facilities worldwide.
A global leader in animal nutrition, ADM's 120 years of expertise provides value-added solutions across livestock, aquaculture, and pet nutrition. The acquisition of Neovia in 2019 significantly expanded ADM's animal nutrition footprint, making it one of the premier animal nutrition companies in the world with a presence across nearly 200 countries. In 2021, ADM further expanded its pet food capabilities, acquiring a 75% stake in four pet food companies — PetDine, Pedigree Ovens, NutraDine, and The Pound Bakery — for a total of $450 million.
