Ceva Santé Animale
Overview
Ceva Santé Animale is a French veterinary pharmaceutical company headquartered in Libourne, near Bordeaux. Established in 1999, the company has grown to become the fifth largest animal health business in the world, with more than 7,000 employees operating across 47 countries. Ceva is privately held — majority owned by its management team and supported by long-term investment partners including Temasek and Mitsui & Co.
Australian dog owners will most commonly encounter Ceva through Adaptil, its pheromone-based calming range for dogs. Available as diffusers, collars, and sprays, Adaptil uses a synthetic version of the natural pheromone mother dogs produce to help manage stress, anxiety, and behavioural issues. Ceva is also behind Douxo, a veterinary-recommended dermatological care range for dogs and cats, and Feliway, the leading pheromone calming product for cats.
Ceva is privately held and does not trade on any stock exchange.
