Diamond Pet Foods

Diamond Pet Foods is an American pet food manufacturer founded in 1970 by brothers-in-law Gary Schell and Richard Kampeter in Meta, Missouri. The company operates under its parent entity Schell & Kampeter, Inc. and remains family owned, now run by the second generation of both families. It is one of the largest pet food manufacturers in the United States, operating seven production facilities across the country and distributing to more than 100 countries worldwide.

Australian dog owners may recognise Diamond through its brands Taste of the Wild and Diamond Naturals, both of which are available through Australian pet retailers including Petbarn. Taste of the Wild focuses on grain-free, high-protein formulas inspired by ancestral canine diets, while Diamond Naturals offers a more affordable range with whole-food ingredients and added probiotics. Diamond also manufactures pet food on behalf of other brands as a major co-packing partner in the industry.
