Elanco Animal Health
Overview
Elanco Animal Health is an American pharmaceutical company producing medicines and vaccinations for pets and livestock, with roots tracing back to 1953 when Eli Lilly introduced their first veterinary antibiotic. In 2018, Elanco officially separated from Eli Lilly & Company, listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: ELAN) and launching as an independent public company on the global stage.
Since independence, Elanco has grown significantly through acquisition, most notably purchasing Bayer Animal Health, which balanced its portfolio between pet health and farm animal products. Today, Elanco operates across more than 200 brands spanning companion animal and livestock health, with key products including Seresto, Credelio, and Interceptor Plus, sold across more than 90 countries worldwide.
