Ethos Pet Brands is a US-based premium pet food platform formed in 2023 through the merger of CANIDAE and Natural Balance — two of North America's most respected specialty pet food companies. Backed 50/50 by private equity firms L Catterton and Nexus Capital Management, the business is named after CANIDAE's long-standing manufacturing facility in Brownwood, Texas, with "ethos" reflecting the shared values of quality, honesty, and integrity both brands were built on.

The combined portfolio spans over 100 dog and cat food products and treats, united by a common focus on protein-rich, responsibly sourced nutrition — from CANIDAE's All Life Stages and Grain Free Pure lines to Natural Balance's limited ingredient and premium specialty range.
