Overview
Virbac is a French veterinary pharmaceutical company founded in 1968 by veterinarian Pierre-Richard Dick in Nice, France. Listed on Euronext Paris (VIRP), Virbac is the world's sixth largest veterinary pharmaceutical company and remains an independent, family-controlled business, with the founder's daughter Marie-Hélène Dick chairing the supervisory board. The company is exclusively dedicated to animal health, developing and manufacturing veterinary medicines, dental care products, parasiticides, and dermatological treatments for companion animals and livestock. Virbac operates across more than 100 countries with production facilities on five continents, including Australia. Australian dog owners may recognise Virbac through its VeggieDent dental chews and its veterinary dermatology range. Virbac employs over 5,100 people globally.
