Overview

Zoetis is an American animal health company and the world's largest producer of medicines and vaccines for pets and livestock. The company traces its origins to 1952 as Pfizer's animal health division before becoming an independent, publicly listed company on the NYSE (ZTS) in 2013. Headquartered in New Jersey, Zoetis operates in more than 100 countries with companion animal products generating approximately 65% of total revenue. Australian dog owners will recognise Zoetis through Simparica Trio (flea, tick, and heartworm protection), Apoquel (itch and allergy relief), and Librela (a monoclonal antibody treatment for osteoarthritis pain in dogs). Zoetis generates annual revenue of approximately US$9.5 billion and is a publicly traded company with no parent entity.
