Masterpet

Masterpet is a New Zealand-founded pet care company established in 1954, originally operating as a small retail shop in Hamilton before growing into one of Australasia's leading pet care businesses. The Wootton family renamed the company Masterpet and expanded it across Australia and New Zealand over several decades. In 2011, EBOS Group acquired Masterpet, and in 2014 added Black Hawk Premium Pet Care to the family. Today, Masterpet operates across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, and holds a 50% share in Animates, New Zealand's specialty pet retail chain.

Australian dog owners will recognise Masterpet through several core brands. Black Hawk is a leading premium pet food sold through pet stores and veterinary clinics. VitaPet is the company's signature grocery brand and a leading pet treat brand in Australian supermarkets. Other dog-relevant brands include Yours Droolly (treats, toys and accessories), Aristopet (health and wellness), and Kiwi Kitchens (air-dried natural pet food). Masterpet is a subsidiary of EBOS Group, publicly listed on the ASX and NZX under the ticker EBO.
