Great River Walk

The Great River Walk traces the eastern bank of the Nepean River from central Penrith south through parkland, wetland and open grassy flats, covering over 14km of flat on-leash riverfront path. The route is sealed and wide with consistent river views and good shade from riparian vegetation. Dogs will appreciate the riverside access points for a wade in suitable conditions, though river currents can be strong after rain. Several off-leash dog parks sit within the Penrith riverside corridor.

The Great River Walk is managed by Penrith City Council.
