Knapsack Reserve

Dog Friendly Walking Trail in Glenbrook

Overview

Knapsack Reserve in Glenbrook sits above the historic Knapsack Viaduct, a sandstone railway bridge completed in 1867 that spans a deep gully above the Nepean River gorge. The on-leash walking track follows the clifftop through dry sclerophyll woodland with views down to the viaduct and the valley below. The track is informal in sections — uneven sandstone ground requires care. The reserve connects to the Glenbrook Gorge Trail for those wanting to extend the walk into the gorge. There are no facilities within the reserve itself.

Knapsack Reserve is managed by Blue Mountains City Council.
