Waverton Park to Balls Head Reserve Loop

This on-leash loop connects Waverton Park with Balls Head Reserve along the northern shore of Port Jackson, threading through remnant angophora and sandstone heath bushland above the harbour with consistent CBD skyline views across the water. The trail passes heritage coal loader infrastructure embedded in the Balls Head headland — a remnant of wartime port operations — before completing the loop back to Waverton. It's a compact walk that earns its place through bush quality and harbour sightlines. Dogs must remain on-leash throughout the reserve.
