PetCloud was founded in Brisbane in 2015 by Deb Webber, a lifelong animal lover whose frustration with the opacity and accountability gaps in traditional pet boarding sparked the idea as far back as 2007. Her philosophy was simple but non-negotiable: pet safety should never be optional. From launch, PetCloud set itself apart by making police checks mandatory for all sitters — a standard no other Australian platform required. The brand developed its training curriculum alongside senior RSPCA vets, inspectors, and animal welfare professionals, building a framework grounded in genuine expertise rather than marketing. 

Today PetCloud operates across Australia with over 55,000 police-checked carers, $10M insurance coverage on every booking, and a growing footprint in NDIS pet care support for Australians with disability. It remains proudly Australian-owned and independent.
