Overview
Castle Hill Tavern has been the Hills district's original local since 1988, and at this scale — four bars, two function rooms, a proper bistro, and a beer garden shaded by market umbrellas — there's room for everyone. Dogs on leads settle under the umbrellas while owners work through head chef Ruvi's menu, which lands somewhere between pub counter classics and kitchen ambition: prosciutto-wrapped chicken ballotine, Texas-style smoky baby back ribs, buffalo wings alongside chargrilled steaks and dietary-conscious mains.
The Loft Bar has a hardwood dance floor, the VIP Lounge handles functions, and the Sports Bar carries whatever match matters that weekend. Karaoke, trivia, members' draws and soloists playing the beer garden fill the weekly diary. Castle Hill is now squarely on the Sydney Metro Northwest line — Hills Showground station sits around 750 metres east of the tavern — so a trip from the inner city no longer requires a car.
