Silver Beach

Silver Beach in Kurnell is a year-round dog-friendly beach offering 24-hour off-leash access within a clearly defined zone between the third and fourth rock groynes at the western beach end, right beside the Bonna Point Reserve car park. Sitting on the calm, sheltered side of Botany Bay, the beach offers typically flat, waveless conditions — ideal for dogs of all swimming abilities. Nearby amenities include ample parking, public toilets, rinse-off showers, and the dog-welcoming Cook @ Kurnell cafe with generous outdoor seating.

Kurnell's position near the historic Captain Cook landing site and the Kamay Botany Bay National Park gives this Kurnell dog beach a special sense of place. The calm waters and scenic bay views make every visit feel like a proper coastal outing rather than just a quick exercise run.

Silver Beach suits water-confident dogs with strong recall, as the off-leash zone is unfenced and opens directly onto the bay. Dogs must be leashed outside the marked groynes zone.
