Ice Cream — Strawberry Dreams

Ice Cream — Strawberry Dreams

Dog Yog
DogYog Strawberry Dreams Yog is a frozen probiotic dog treat produced in Australia. Goat milk and goat milk kefir form the base, contributing natural probiotics and a protein profile often tolerated by dogs sensitive to cow's milk dairy. Strawberry powder supplies vitamin C and polyphenols, flaxseed oil adds plant-sourced omega-3 fatty acids associated with skin and coat support, and banana puree contributes soluble fibre. Intended for occasional use as an enrichment treat, training reward, or cooling snack rather than a meal component. The goat dairy, egg yolk, and added coconut nectar make it unsuitable for dogs with dairy or egg sensitivities, and portion size should be adjusted for smaller or overweight dogs.

Summary
Goat milk is a nutrient-rich liquid derived from the mammary glands of goats (animal origin). It is primarily included in pet food for its highly digestible proteins, essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, supporting overall health and development. Goat milk is used in its natural, whole form, providing a palatable and bioavailable source of nutrition for pets.
Why it's used?
Goat milk is included as a label-friendly ingredient to appeal to consumers seeking novel or premium animal-derived components. It may also serve as a palatability enhancer and provide a source of digestible protein and fat.

Goat Milk Kefir
Goat Milk Kefir
Fermented Goat Milk, Caprae Lac Fermentum, Kefirised Goat Milk, Capra Aegagrus Hircus Milk Kefir
Summary
Goat milk kefir is a fermented dairy product made by inoculating goat milk with specific strains of beneficial bacteria and yeasts. In commercial dog food, it is typically added as a freeze-dried powder or liquid concentrate. Goat milk kefir provides probiotics that support digestive health and may help maintain a balanced gut microbiome in dogs. When included at appropriate levels, it is generally safe; however, excessive amounts may cause digestive upset, particularly in dogs with lactose intolerance or dairy sensitivities.
Why it's used?
Goat milk kefir is included in dog food formulations primarily to provide probiotics and support digestive health, offering a functional benefit to dogs while also allowing manufacturers to differentiate their products in a competitive market. Its use is generally for added nutritional value rather than as a filler or cost-saving ingredient.

It is used in its natural, purified form, not chemically altered, to optimise moisture content and support the overall health and wellbeing of pets.
Why it's used?

Coconut Nectar
Coconut Nectar
Coconut Blossom Nectar, Coconut Sap Syrup, Cocos Nucifera Nectar, Coconut Flower Nectar
Summary
Coconut nectar is a natural sweetener derived from the sap of coconut palm flower buds. In dog food manufacturing, it is typically used in its liquid or dried syrup form. Coconut nectar provides simple carbohydrates and trace minerals, contributing to the energy content of the food. When used in moderation, it is generally considered safe for dogs, but excessive intake may contribute to unnecessary calorie consumption and is not recommended for dogs with diabetes or weight management issues.
Why it's used?
Coconut nectar is included in some Australian dog food formulations primarily as a natural sweetener to enhance palatability, making the product more appealing to dogs, though it does not provide significant nutritional benefits and is not essential for canine health. Its use is mainly for flavour and marketing differentiation rather than for the dog's wellbeing.

Why it's used?
Strawberry powder is included as a label-friendly ingredient to appeal to consumers seeking natural fruit additions and enhanced product marketing. Banana puree provides dietary fibre, natural sugars, potassium, and small amounts of vitamins such as vitamin B6 and vitamin C. When included at suitable levels, it can support digestive health and contribute to palatability without known risks; excessive amounts may contribute to increased sugar intake.
Why it's used?
Banana puree is included in dog food formulations primarily to enhance palatability and provide a natural source of carbohydrates and fibre, offering some nutritional benefit to dogs while also serving as a cost-effective ingredient for manufacturers.
