Frontline

Frontline PLUS is a topical flea and tick treatment for dogs and cats made by Boehringer Ingelheim, one of the world's largest animal health companies. Originally launched in 2000 as an evolution of the original Frontline formula from the 1990s, the PLUS formulation combines two active ingredients — fipronil, which kills adult fleas, and (S)-methoprene, an insect growth regulator that stops eggs and larvae from developing.

Applied monthly as a spot-on, Frontline PLUS protects against fleas for at least one month and brown dog ticks for up to one month. It also treats paralysis tick infestations for two weeks. Widely available across Australian pet retailers, supermarkets, and online stores.
