Bellamy Beach

On Lead Dog Beach in Rose Bay

Overview

The quieter alternative to Rose Bay Dog Beach, tucked between the Rose Bay and Point Piper marinas. It's a small, sheltered harbour cove — about 230 metres of sand backed by Rose Bay Park's shady grass slope. Calm, shallow water, kayak and SUP hire at the far end, and a fraction of the crowds. Dogs are officially on-lead, though enforcement is light and you'll regularly see dogs splashing freely.

Rose Bay Park and Bellamy Beach are expected to become a designated off-leash area under Woollahra Council's 2026 changes — check signage for updates. Street parking is limited.

For the full off-leash experience right now, walk the sea wall promenade east to Rose Bay Dog Beach, which allows dogs off-leash 24 hours a day.

Bellamy Beach is managed by Woollahra Council.
