Lord Raglan Hotel

The Lord Raglan is a 1925 Art Deco corner pub in Alexandria, refurbished by Rocks Brewing Co with no pokies and sixteen taps. Hangman Pale Ale and Boxer Red Ale are the house. Eight rotating guest taps sit alongside. The fit-out is stripped back: concrete floors, dangling lights, a square bar built from salvaged doors and timber stools. Schnitzels are eighteen dollars on Mondays, wings twelve dollars on Tuesdays, roasts on Sundays. Trivia falls on Tuesday night. Monthly tap takeovers and house infusions rotate through.

Dogs are welcome anywhere in the pub, indoor bar included. The venue keeps meat and meat-free dog snacks on hand, and the staff have a reputation for fussing. It's a craft beer local first and a dog-friendly room second — that combination still isn't especially common in Alexandria.
