Heartgard PLUS

Heartgard PLUS is a monthly heartworm prevention chewable for dogs, manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim. In Australia it is sold as HeartGard30 PLUS and has been one of the more widely recognised heartworm preventatives in veterinary practice for several decades.

The chew contains ivermectin and pyrantel, which protect against heartworm disease and also control roundworm and hookworm. It comes in a beef-flavoured chew across three weight ranges and can be used in dogs over 6 weeks of age. It is available through veterinary clinics, specialist retailers, and online in 6-month packs.
