Petbarn is the retail arm of Greencross, the pet care group founded in 1994 by veterinarian Glen Richards and owned by TPG Capital since 2019, pairing its store network with more than 800 Greencross Vets. Its insurance relaunched in March 2026 as a three-tier range — Silver, Gold and Platinum — sold together with petinsurance.com.au and issued by PetSure. Distinctively, no waiting periods apply to foreign-object ingestion or toxicity claims, and each additional pet earns 10% off.
