Scratch

Scratch is a 100% Australian-made and owned dog food company co-founded by Mike Halligan and Doug Spiegelhauer in 2018. The brand was born after Mike's family dog Brandy passed away, prompting him to investigate what she had been eating — and uncovering an industry he believed was unregulated, overpriced, and long overdue for change.

Scratch became Australia's first B Corp-certified dog food company, scoring 97.6 on the B Impact assessment. Their range includes premium dry kibble and raw frozen food, made with human-grade Australian meat, whole vegetables, and four nourishing oils. Delivered direct-to-door on subscription, Scratch donates 2% of revenue and works exclusively with ethical, sustainable suppliers. Carbon neutral certified.
