Ace Hotel Sydney

Dog Friendly Hotel in Sydney CBD

Overview

The first Southern Hemisphere outpost of the cult American hotel brand, Ace Sydney arrived in Surry Hills in 2023 and immediately felt like it had always been here — a converted brick factory with exposed concrete, a buzzing ground-floor lobby, Aboriginal art installations, a vinyl player in every room, and Kiln perched 18 storeys up with retractable roofs and an Argentine grill.

Dogs are welcome in a range of room types including Small, Medium, Double Double, Terrace and Loft, and the hotel leans into the no-fuss Ace approach: a dog bed, food and water bowls on a silicone mat, local tips on parks, salons, and dog-friendly cafes.

Dogs can be left alone in the room — a notable plus. Pets are also welcome in the lobby and downstairs cafe and wine bar. Hyde Park and Prince Alfred Park are both an easy walk, and Surry Hills itself is one of Sydney's most cafe-dense, dog-welcoming neighbourhoods.
