Bangor Park

Off Leash Area in Coogee

Overview

Located in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, Bangor Park in Coogee is an unfenced off-leash area. The park is sloping and includes a fully fenced children’s playground on Oberon Street.

The park is known for its open grassed lawns and gentle slope that offers views across the area. The children’s playground features swings, slides, a jungle gym, spring animals and a climbing web, and is shaded by sails; it is fully fenced.

Dogs may be exercised off the leash throughout the park as it is designated an off-leash dog exercise area.

Bangor Park is set in the residential suburb of Coogee, bordered by Oberon Street; nearby streets provide foot access.

The park caters for dogs who are comfortable off leash and enjoy grassy open space, especially those who are sociable and confident in unconfined areas; it is less suited for dogs that need secure fencing or protection from nearby roads.

Bangor Park is managed by Randwick City Council.
