Overview
Located in Sydney’s St George region, Carss Bush Park in Carss Park offers a fenced off-leash dog park within a large, scenic reserve. It feels secure and natural, set amid bushland, foreshore and open lawns.
The park is known for its large securely fenced off-leash enclosure featuring a double-gated entry system and a well-maintained grassy space ideal for sprinting, fetch and play. It includes water stations, poo-bag dispensers, benches and on-site parking. Beyond the dog park, the broader reserve has a playground, picnic and BBQ areas, bush and foreshore walks, cafés, swimming spots, sports fields and scenic views across Kogarah Bay.
Dogs must remain supervised and under effective control; leash restrictions apply outside the designated area. Carss Bush Park is also a designated Category 2 Wildlife Protection Area, meaning dogs must stay on leash on formed paths outside the off-leash zone.
The park connects with local walking and cycling routes. Nearby amenities include a café, playground, picnic shelters and bushland walks.
Carss Bush Park suits active, social dogs who enjoy running in a safe, enclosed space, as well as puppies or shy dogs that benefit from the fenced area.
Carss Bush Park is managed by the Georges River Council.
