Overview
Located in Sydney’s St George region, Hogben Park in Kogarah currently offers an unfenced off‑leash dog area within a broader recreational reserve. It presents a relaxed, open feel but will soon transform following recent council upgrades.
The area is known for its informal layout—grassed open space adjacent to a skate plaza, amphitheatre, playground, and youth-focused facilities. It supports a mix of community uses, with room for dogs to roam under supervision.
Dogs must be supervised and remain under effective control at all times. Outside the designated off‑leash portion, standard leash rules will apply throughout the rest of the park.
Access is straightforward via Railway Parade, placing the dog area amid several amenities and paths that cater to families, youth, and dog owners alike.
Hogben Park suits dogs that enjoy open, versatile settings, especially those comfortable in environments shared with other recreational users.
Hogben Park is managed by the Georges River Council.
