Overview
Mutch Park is a well-loved dog park in Pagewood, Sydney, just minutes from Maroubra Beach. This spacious community sports and recreation reserve is a popular off-leash exercise area for local dog owners, offering a mix of open fields, sports facilities, and shaded walking paths that create a versatile environment for both active play and relaxed strolls.
Known for its large grassy ovals, the park provides plenty of room for long ball throws and high-energy games. The wide-open design and gentle slopes make it a favourite for dogs that love to run, while the surrounding paths offer a calmer space for on-leash walks.
Dogs are allowed off-leash before 10am and after 4pm daily, with on-leash requirements at other times to accommodate sporting activities. The park is unfenced, so strong recall is essential. Water stations and seating are available, with parking along Bunnerong Road and nearby streets. The flat pathways make it accessible for prams and wheelchairs, and the nearby playground means the whole family can enjoy the visit.
Mutch Park is close to Westfield Eastgardens and a short drive to Heffron Park and Maroubra Beach, making it easy to plan a full day of dog-friendly activities.
Best suited for medium to large dogs with good recall and plenty of energy. Social dogs will enjoy meeting others during peak off-leash hours, while quieter dogs can explore the surrounding paths during less busy times.
Mutch Park is managed by Bayside Council.
