The Lady Hampshire

Dog Friendly Pub in Camperdown

Overview

The Lady Hampshire is a 1911 Camperdown pub. Public Hospitality reopened it in April 2023 on a 'cold beer, loud music, hot food' brief. The original scrappy character stayed — murals of Steve Irwin and Kath & Kim by Scott Marsh, the same long floorplan — while everything behind the pass got sharpened up. Head chef Brendan King, ex-Baba's Place, runs a menu that swings between proper pub pie and left-of-field snacks: Guinness shepherd's, half roast chicken, samosa spring rolls, eggplant katsu burger. Live music runs Wednesday through Sunday.

Dogs are welcome inside and outside. The large covered courtyard out back is where most of the pup population sets up. It's a rare Public Hospitality pub that keeps the Inner West grit intact rather than polishing it off entirely.
