Hairyman Brewery

Hairyman Brewery has run out of a Caringbah side-street unit since April 2016. The brewhouse sits directly on the Woolooware Bay cycling path. The name traces to the Wild Hairyman of Botany Bay local legend. Andy Orrell and Joan O'Donnell run it — a genuinely independent family operation rather than a silent-investor play. The 25-hectolitre set-up feeds a cellar bar and family taproom; the tap line rotates through pale ales, lagers, a house stout and seasonal limited runs.

Dogs on leash are welcome inside and outside, with water bowls provided. The Caringbah cycling path runs past the door, and Sutherland Shire dog walkers fold the brewery into Saturday rides without a second thought.
