ENDOGARD® Small 0-5kg Allwormer Chews

Overview
Endogard® Palatable Allwormer for Dogs is a broad-spectrum intestinal wormer combining praziquantel and oxibendazole in a tasty liver-flavoured tablet. Its dual active formula targets all key intestinal worms — roundworms, hookworms, whipworm, tapeworms (including hydatid tapeworm) — in a single dose.
Notably, Endogard does not contain pyrantel or related actives, making it a useful rotation option for dogs on other allwormer programs. The liver flavour makes administration easy, and the tablet sizing is flexible — for dogs between 2.5–40 kg, no more than two and no less than half a tablet is required, reducing the number of tablets needed compared to many competitors.
Safe from 2 weeks of age. Adult dogs should be treated every 3 months; more frequent dosing is recommended for puppies, breeding females, dogs in hydatid areas, or where whipworm is a known problem.
Does not prevent heartworm — pair with a dedicated heartworm preventive for complete internal parasite coverage.
Ingredients
Active: Oxibendazole, Praziquantel. Inactive: Not publicly documented.
This product is marketed as a flavoured chew, however Virbac Australia has not publicly disclosed the excipient list for Endogard Allwormer.

Oxibendazole is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic used to treat intestinal worm infections in dogs. It kills roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms by inhibiting their ability to absorb nutrients, leading to parasite death.

Praziquantel is an antiparasitic drug widely used to treat tapeworm infections in dogs. It works by causing severe spasms and paralysis in tapeworms, allowing them to be digested and eliminated from the body.

Unknown ingredients refer to components listed in pet food formulations whose specific identity or source is not disclosed. These may originate from animal, plant, or synthetic sources. Their primary purpose can vary, including nutritional supplementation or functional roles such as preservation. As their exact form is unspecified, it is unclear whether they are used in their natural state or as processed compounds, raising concerns about transparency and traceability.
This ingredient is included as a cost-effective component or processing aid, potentially serving to optimise manufacturing efficiency or product texture. Its presence may also support labelling requirements or contribute to the product’s stability, though its specific functional role is not clearly defined.
