The excess — $0, $250 or $500 — applies per condition, with cruciate surgery capped at $4,000 per leg and emergency boarding at $1,000. An optional $1,000 dental illness benefit sits on top of the annual limit. Illness claims open after 21 days, and GapOnly settles the insured portion on the spot at participating vets.
