Overview
Located in Sydney’s Inner West, Bede Spillane Reserve in Camperdown provides a fully fenced off-leash area for dogs.
The park has a relaxed, neighbourhood feel and is popular with local residents who value the security of an enclosed space. Its compact size makes it best suited to short daily outings rather than long runs, but the fencing makes it a reliable choice for puppies and smaller dogs.
The fenced area features a grassy surface with some shady trees and benches for owners. The double-gated entry adds extra security, and the simple, flat design makes it easy to supervise dogs at all times.
Because the space is fully fenced, it’s suitable for dogs without perfect recall, as well as those who are shy or reactive. The grass can become patchy with frequent use or after rain, and owners should bring their own water as facilities are limited.
The reserve is close to Camperdown cafés, local shops, and other green spaces such as Victoria Park and Camperdown Memorial Rest Park, giving owners nearby options for longer walks.
Bede Spillane Reserve is best suited to smaller dogs, puppies, and those needing the security of a fenced environment.
Bede Spillane Reserve is managed by the Inner West Council.
