Blackman Park

Located in Sydney’s Lower North Shore, Blackman Park in Lane Cove West is a fenced dog park set within a large recreational precinct along the Lane Cove River. 

The enclosed area provides a secure environment for off-leash play, with the wider park offering a busy community setting.

The park is known for its mix of open grassed fields, bushland edges, walking tracks, sports facilities, playgrounds, and picnic spaces. The dedicated fenced area for dogs sits alongside these amenities, giving owners a defined and safe space.

Owners should know that Lane Cove Council designates the enclosed area as off-leash. Other sections of Blackman Park have specific restrictions, with dogs permitted off-leash only when organised sport is not in progress and always excluded from playgrounds and bushland. These rules are clearly signed on-site.

Blackman Park connects to the Lane Cove River walking tracks and is close to local shops, making it convenient for extended visits.

The secure fenced area is well suited to puppies, small dogs, or those still building recall, while the larger playing fields suit active dogs with good control.
