Overview
Located in Sydney’s Inner West, Enmore Park in Marrickville is one of the largest and busiest community parks in the area, with a designated off-leash dog exercise zone.
The park is unfenced and has a lively, family-friendly atmosphere, attracting locals throughout the day. Its size and facilities make it a popular destination for dog owners as well as families using the playground, pool, and sporting grounds.
The off-leash section is a spacious grassy area with shady trees and seating for owners. Its central location and open layout give dogs plenty of room to run and socialise, while the surrounding parklands provide variety and a mix of activity.
Dogs are permitted off-leash in the signed, designated area at all times. They must remain on-leash in all other parts of the park and are prohibited from the children’s playground and the Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre grounds. Because the space is unfenced and borders busy roads, reliable recall is important. The grass can become muddy after rain, and owners should bring their own water as facilities are limited.
The park is within walking distance of Enmore and Marrickville cafés, shops, and restaurants, making it an easy outing for locals.
Enmore Park is best suited to social, energetic dogs that thrive in large, busy environments.
Enmore Park is managed by the Inner West Council.
