Overview
Located in Sydney’s Inner City, Joynton Park in Zetland provides a large off-leash space surrounded by modern apartment developments.
The park is unfenced and has a lively, community atmosphere, attracting plenty of local residents and their dogs, particularly in the evenings and on weekends. Its wide open lawns make it one of the more popular neighbourhood parks in the area.
The off-leash area is expansive, with grassy fields bordered by trees and seating for owners. Water fountains and shady spots add convenience, and the flat, open layout gives dogs plenty of room to run and socialise.
Because the park is unfenced and bordered by surrounding streets, strong recall is important. The grass can become muddy after rain, and busy periods may be overwhelming for less social dogs. Bringing your own water bowl is recommended.
The park sits at the heart of Zetland, with cafés, restaurants, and shops in Green Square just a short walk away. It’s also well connected to walking routes through the neighbouring developments, making it easy to extend outings.
Joynton Park is best suited to energetic and social dogs that enjoy wide open spaces and a lively, community setting.
Joynton Park is managed by the City of Sydney Council.
