Overview
Located in Sydney’s Lower North Shore, Rawson Park in Mosman is a timed off-leash dog park. Dogs may be exercised off leash all day Monday to Friday, and on weekends/public holidays before 9am or after 4pm in the grassed exercise areas.
The park is known for its large open oval space, good sightlines, and being clearly signposted as an off-leash area. Street parking is available, and paths around the oval provide accessible entry points.
Owners should know that dogs must be leashed in areas not designated for off-leash exercise. Dogs must be under effective control at all times. Parts of Rawson Park including the car park and areas immediately surrounding the oval are leash-only zones.
The area lies close to Mosman Village, cafés along Military Road, and is not far from the harbour foreshore, making it convenient for combining a dog outing with errands or a stroll.
Rawson Park is suited to social, energetic dogs with good recall who enjoy larger open spaces but where rules vary depending on area and time.
Rawson Park is managed by Mosman Council.
