Robertson Park

On Leash Dog Park in Watsons Bay

Overview

A harbourside park with mature shade trees, a playground, a bandstand, and arguably Sydney's best sunset-with-fish-and-chips spot — grab Doyles takeaway, spread a rug, and watch the ferries roll in against the city skyline.

Dogs are welcome on-lead throughout the park. The small harbour beach at its base, Robertson Beach, is set to become an off-leash dog beach during timed hours as part of Woollahra Council's 2026 dog access changes — check current signage before visiting.

The 16-minute ferry from Circular Quay drops you at Watsons Bay wharf, right at the park's edge. From here it's a short walk to Camp Cove, the South Head Heritage Trail, and the dog-friendly Federation Cliff Walk. Street parking available but limited on weekends.

Robertson Park is managed by Woollahra Council.
