ADVANCE™ Sydney Royal Dog Show

This is the serious end of the dog world. Running across nearly two weeks as part of the Sydney Royal Easter Show, the ADVANCE™ Sydney Royal Dog Show is one of Australia's most prestigious canine competitions, attracting over 3,000 entries across more than 200 breeds.

The program covers conformation judging (the classic breed ring), obedience and rally trials, agility, scent work, trick dog competitions, and a Festival of Dog Sports — all assessed by an international judging panel drawn from countries including Croatia, Canada, Costa Rica and China. The final weekend builds to General Specials and the coveted Best in Show title, alongside the Sydney FCI International conformation competition. There's also a Dogs NSW Canine Grooming Championship, a Junior Handler competition, police canine displays, and a Meet the Breed day for the public.

It's equal parts spectator sport and industry benchmark — a genuine showcase of breeding, training and handling at the highest level in Australia. Even if you're not competing, it's worth the trip just to watch the agility runs and see a perfectly stacked Borzoi in the flesh.
