Varna Park

Off Leash Area in Waverley

Overview

Located in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, Varna Park in Waverley is an unfenced off-leash area (in the eastern end of the park). The park features both leafy suburban open space and dedicated play equipment.

The park includes a children’s playground (swings, rockers, climbing structure), a modern outdoor gym, picnic shelters, seating and trees.

Off-leash dog play is permitted within the designated area in the eastern end of Varna Park. Dogs must be on leash outside that designated area. Dogs are prohibited within 10 m of the children’s playground.

Varna Park is on the corner of Varna Street and Leichhardt Street in Waverley, with limited on-street parking nearby.

The layout suits dogs that are confident off leash and enjoy open grassed areas within a shared suburban park.

Varna Park is managed by Waverley Council.
