Overview
Dermcare Pyohex Medicated Conditioner is a leave-on antibacterial conditioner from Australian veterinary skin care company Dermcare, formulated as an aid in the treatment and prevention of recurrence of superficial bacterial dermatitis associated with Staphylococcus intermedius in dogs. The active ingredient is chlorhexidine gluconate at 30g/L, which binds strongly to the skin and coat to provide up to 14 days of residual antibacterial protection after a single application.
The conditioner is designed for use alongside Pyohex Medicated Shampoo or Malaseb Medicated Shampoo. It prolongs the antibacterial action of the chlorhexidine gluconate from the shampoo wash while replenishing moisture on the skin after bathing. It is intended for use under veterinary guidance as part of a medicated bathing protocol for bacterial skin conditions.
