Overview
Located in Sydney’s Inner City, Alexandria Park offers a spacious off-leash area in the suburb of Alexandria.
The park is unfenced and has a lively, community atmosphere, with wide grassy fields that double as sporting grounds. It’s a popular destination for local dog owners, especially in the afternoons and on weekends.
The off-leash space is large and open, giving dogs plenty of room to run and play. Mature trees provide shade, and there are seating spots around the park for owners. Its central location makes it a convenient choice for residents of Alexandria, Redfern and surrounding suburbs.
Because the area is unfenced, good recall is important, particularly during busy sporting times or when the park draws larger crowds. The surface is mostly grass, which can become muddy after rain, and water facilities are limited, so bringing your own is recommended.
Alexandria Park is close to Erskineville, Redfern and the South Eveleigh precinct, giving owners easy access to cafes, eateries and local shops before or after a visit.
It’s best suited to confident and social dogs who enjoy open spaces and mixing with others, as well as larger breeds needing plenty of exercise.
Alexandria Park is managed by the City of Sydney Council.
