Astrolabe Park

Off Leash Area in Daceyville

Overview

Astrolabe Park is a generous, off-leash dog park in Daceyville, tucked between Astrolabe Road, Isaac Smith Street and Banks Avenue in Sydney's south-east. Spanning roughly nine hectares of open grass and sealed walking paths, it gives your pup plenty of room to roam, sniff and stretch out at full speed.

The park is unfenced and off-leash 24/7, so strong recall is essential — there's a half basketball court, public toilets and pockets of shade for owners between the long laps. Heritage links to the old Botany Water Reserves give it a quietly interesting backdrop while you walk.

It's best suited to medium and large dogs with reliable recall, or anyone after a relaxed, low-pressure spot for a long off-leash wander close to the eastern suburbs.

Astrolabe Park is managed by Bayside Council.
