Overview
Located in Sydney’s St George region, Moore Reserve in Hurstville Grove offers an off-leash dog park featuring both fenced and unfenced areas, set amid a spacious, natural landscape. It has a calm, community-focused atmosphere with plenty of room to roam alongside scenic amenities.
The park is known for its dual layout—there’s a larger unfenced expanse for more adventurous dogs and a smaller fenced, leash-free play area for added security. The broader reserve includes picnic spots with electric barbecues, a children’s playground (in the adjoining Seymour Reserve), public toilets, and an extensive shared pathway ideal for walking or cycling.
Dogs may run off-leash in the designated areas but must remain under effective control. Leash rules apply on shared paths and outside the off-leash zones.
Moore Reserve sits between Oatley Bay and a constructed wetland, offering scenic connections to wetlands and water views. It links seamlessly to local walking and cycling routes, including paths leading to Oatley Shops and the nearby Renown Park sports ground.
This reserve is best suited to dogs that enjoy varied environments—those who can manage open, unfenced space and also benefit from the fenced area for safer interaction or training.
Moore Reserve is managed by the Georges River Council.
