Hurstville Oval

Overview
Located in Sydney’s St George region, Hurstville Oval’s adjacent dog area (Hurstville Park) in Hurstville offers a fenced off-leash dog park with a tidy, practical layout. It sits at the corner of Gordon Street and Patrick Street just beside the sports ground, making it an easy stop for local dog owners.
The space is known for its secure fenced enclosure with a 1.5-metre-high perimeter fence and an airlock-style double gate for safe entry and exit. Within the area, you'll find agility equipment, seating and a drinking fountain to keep both dogs and owners comfortable.
Dogs must remain under effective supervision and be under control at all times. When outside the fenced zone, standard leash rules apply as per council regulations.
The park sits next to Hurstville Oval, offering a grassy backdrop and easy pedestrian access from nearby streets. While there are no cafés directly adjacent, the central Hurstville shopping precinct is a short walk away, giving options for a coffee or snack after play.
Hurstville Park caters well to active, social dogs that enjoy a bit of structured play in a secure setting. It’s also very useful for puppy training or recall practice in a safe environment.
Hurstville Park is managed by the Georges River Council.
