Lough Playing Fields

Off Leash Area in Double Bay

Overview

Located in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, Lough Playing Fields in Double Bay is an unfenced off-leash area. Dogs can be off leash between 4:30 pm and 8:30 am, except when organised sporting events are using the fields.

The park is known for its large playing fields used for community sport, with open grass expanses and nearby street parking. Amenities such as seating and waste-bag bins are available.

Owners should know that off-leash is only permitted outside of organised sport times, and dogs must be leashed during sporting events. The reserve is unfenced, so reliable recall is important.

The area is close to Double Bay shops and cafés, and is part of the local network of parks serving the Eastern Suburbs.

Lough Playing Fields is suited to social, active dogs that enjoy large open fields and don’t require secure fencing, particularly outside busy sporting hours.

Lough Playing Fields is managed by Woollahra Council.
