Moore Park Off Leash Area

Moore Park Off Leash Area

Things to Do

Overview

Located in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, Moore Park provides a large off-leash area within the wider Centennial Parklands precinct.

The park is unfenced and expansive, offering open fields, shaded groves, and pathways that create a lively, community-focused environment. Its size and proximity to the city make it one of the most popular off-leash destinations in the area.

The off-leash zones give dogs plenty of room to run, chase, and socialise. Mature trees provide shade, while benches and water stations add to owner convenience. Parking is available nearby, and the open layout ensures good visibility across the fields.

As the space is unfenced, dogs with strong recall are best suited here. The grassed surfaces are generally well-kept but can become muddy after wet weather. The park is busiest in the afternoons and on weekends, so quieter dogs may prefer morning visits.

Moore Park connects seamlessly to Centennial Parklands and the Entertainment Quarter, offering cafés, restaurants, and walking trails that extend the outing. Its central location makes it a key hub for both locals and visitors.

Moore Park is best suited to energetic and social dogs who thrive in large, busy environments with plenty of room to run.

Moore Park is managed by the City of Sydney Council.
