Shale Hills Dog Park

Overview
Shale Hills Dog Park is Western Sydney Parklands' flagship canine destination — a sprawling 5-hectare masterpiece featuring state-of-the-art agility equipment, self-guided training facilities, and two separate designated areas to suit all dog temperaments.
The park's impressive infrastructure includes separate fencing specifically for small dogs, agility obstacles, and pristine open space surrounded by natural bushland. A generous 70-space free car park with vehicle access from 6am–6pm (8pm during daylight saving) makes this West Hoxton dog park remarkably convenient, with pedestrian access available 24/7.
West Hoxton sits within the 5,280-hectare Western Sydney Parklands, stretching 27 kilometres across Sydney's western corridor. The location at the corner of Second and Mannow Avenues positions Shale Hills perfectly within Australia's largest urban park, surrounded by weeping Melaleucas, waterbird habitats, and the Aboriginal Heritage Garden at the nearby Nurragingy Reserve.
Shale Hills Dog Park is ideal for active dogs who thrive on training and agility challenges, as well as small-breed owners seeking a dedicated safe zone away from larger dogs. Note that vehicle access hours apply, a maximum of four dogs per person is enforced, and registered dangerous breeds and dogs in season are not permitted.
Shale Hills Dog Park is managed by Western Sydney Parklands.
