Sydenham Green

Overview
Located in Sydney’s Inner West, Sydenham Green in Sydenham is one of the largest fully fenced off-leash areas in the council area.
The park has a lively, community feel, with open lawns, shaded spots, and a secure enclosure that makes it popular with dog owners from across the Inner West. Its size and facilities make it more of a destination park than a simple local reserve.
The fenced off-leash area includes a large grassy space with water bubblers, shady trees, and benches for owners. The double-gated entry provides added security, and the open design gives dogs of all sizes plenty of room to run and socialise safely.
Because it is fully fenced, Sydenham Green is suitable for dogs without strong recall, puppies, and those who need a secure environment. The grass can become muddy after rain, and peak times often draw a crowd, so quieter visits may be best for shy or reactive dogs.
The park is located near Sydenham Station and within walking distance of cafés and shops, making it convenient for locals and visitors alike. Its position also connects easily with surrounding walking routes.
Sydenham Green is best suited to energetic and social dogs that thrive on large open spaces, as well as dogs needing the safety of a fenced environment.
Sydenham Green is managed by the Inner West Council.
